December 30: Congratulations to new full patch member Irby Marler. He was patched in during our get together at Logans Steak House at our year end party. We had a grand time. Looking forward to a great 2012, FIFL!
August 26: Hattiesburg, MS has been awarded 2 pieces of steel from the twin towers. Sta. 12 will be meeting the steel at the state line and escorting it about 100 miles to the Hattiesburg Fire Department on Friday Sept. 2nd. On Sept 3rd. the steel will be escorted to The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg where a presentation will be made at half time of the USM/ La. Tech football game. A monument will be made with the steel and a dedication ceremony will be on 9/11/11. The monument will live on the campus of USM for all students and visitors to see from now on. We have been blessed to have the steel and are in awe.
July 12: We had a great time at BamaFest, The weather was hot and so were the chicks. There was even a leather and lace marriage ceremony on Saturday. Those attending were, Chief/Tammy, Scrap/Tammy, Stumpy/Melinda, Opie/Angela. Looking forward to Sandy Hook Rally, make plans to come and enjoy the fun!!
June 19: The Baby Selah run was a huge success. We had 78 bikes in the run and several participants(donors) that don't ride who contributed to the cause. Silent auction raised nearly $900. We sold all the T-shirts and had several various contributer's with monetary donations. Every club member contributed in some way and the ladies were outstanding (they took the ball and ran with it). Hats off to Station 12, this was the most successful run we have had to date. Hooters was a excellent host and they appreciated the tremendous amount of business we brought to them. We raised nearly $4,300 for the Taylors. Also lets not forget the wonderful ladies and gents that helped who are not a part of the club, it would not have been as big of a success without them. Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done. What a great club!!!! FIFL
